Make Rockley Point Safe

We the undersigned petition the council to use their powers and their influence to improve safety at Rockley Point. The signage and rescue equipment on the beach, the groyne and in the water do not fully indicate the dangers in the water and need urgent upgrading. We are also calling on the council to work with the holiday park to review the information provided to guests in their accommodation and with them and the RNLI, Poole Harbour Commissioners and other agencies to review the provision of lifeguards at the location. The death of Callum Baker-Osborne must not be in vain and future tragedies must be avoided.

This is a public petition calling for measures to be taken, by the council if necessary, to indicate the dangers of swimming at Rockley Point in a greater and clearer manner. This comes as a result of previous accidents and the tragic death of Callum Baker-Osborne and greater action now will help to prevent such occurrences in the future.
