Request for zebra crossing for students at Braidley Road

We the undersigned petition the council to install a recognised crossing point (zebra crossing) from 51 Braidley Road to 58 Braidley Road in Bournemouth.

We, the students, parents, and staff of Kings Bournemouth and the local community, are concerned about our safety.

The school is situated on a corner, making it extremely difficult to cross the road on the busy school runs. An advisory speed limit is already in place, but this is regularly ignored by drivers.

The school has over 150 students and two sites, meaning pupils of different ages are trying to cross this busy road safely to get to and from school, often without any adult supervision.

We would like to urge the BCP council to install a zebra crossing between the two sites, namely 51 and 58 Braidley Road, to ensure the safety of our students, staff and local residents.

On reaching 20 signatures the relevant officer will investigate and respond to the matter
