We the undersigned petition the council to Playing basketball provides many health benefits, provides the opportunity to run and play, to improve physical health while also having fun.
Basketball Courts can create a sense of community for any age and bring people together to shoot hoops, play games, and have fun.
It provides a place for people to connect and build relationships, which is especially important in today's world, where many people feel isolated and disconnected.
There is no outside Basketball Court in the area of Strouden
Park.
There are 2 Secondary Schools nearby (Bishop of Winchester and
Grammar School) and an outside Basketball Court is certainly
missing from the area.
Basketball has gained a lot of popularity and Strouden Park can
provide an ideal space for a Basketball Court (even if is actually
designed to be the size of a half court).
