Purpose:

TRO1 advertised 30 Oct. 2020 to 20 Nov. 2020.

Relates to the key changes required to Highways in order to facilitate the delivery of the Lansdowne programme.

Only parts of TRO1 will be required for phase 1 delivery along Holdenhurst Road and closure of Meyrick Road but approval of the TRO is required to enable works to commence with limited TRO objection risk remaining.

The recommendation therefore is for to approve the making and sealing of proposed changes to Traffic Regulation Orders to facilitate the delivery of the Lansdowne Programme.

Decision:

To approve the making and sealing of new and amended Traffic Regulation Orders to facilitate the delivery of the Lansdowne Programme as set out in the recommendations paragraph in Appendix 1 and paragraph 25 of Appendix 1 [Cabinet Paper – 11 Nov. 2020].

The Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, Economy and Strategic Planning has considered any representations received and determined to confirm the decision outlined above without modification.

Reasons for the decision:

The Traffic Regulation Orders are necessary for the delivery of the Lansdowne Programme. The reason for the decision being taken by the Portfolio Holder is that there have been objections received and therefore it cannot be implemented without further formal decision.
