Approve Barclays Bank Plc to be BCP Council’s single Banking Services provider from 1 April 2022.

The Portfolio Holder for Finance and Transformation has considered any representations received and determined to confirm the decision outlined above without modification.

BCP Council needs one banking service provider to deliver banking services for BCP Council, the companies it operates, and the Charter Trustee organisations the Council hosts (including maintained schools and nurseries).

A procurement process has been completed for the council to have a single provider of banking services to the council from 1 April 2022.

The procurement process was openly advertised, and the evaluation of bids received completed on a 30% price and 70% quality assessment. Barclays Bank Plc was the highest scoring bidder of the bids received.

The contract will commence on 1 April 2022 for an initial 5 year term. There is also the option at the end of this initial 5-year term to extend the contract for a further 5 years. Therefore, if all extensions were taken, the contract term would be for 10 years.
