Decision Maker: Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, Economy and Strategic Planning (to 01/11/2021)

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: Yes

Purpose:

To approve the making and sealing of advertised new and amended Traffic Regulation Orders in phases, such that they coincide with and facilitate the delivery of the Lansdowne project.

Decision:

To approve the making and sealing of advertised new and amended Traffic Regulation Orders in phases, such that they coincide with and facilitate the delivery of the Lansdowne project.

The Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, Economy and Strategic Planning has considered any representations received and determined to confirm the decision outlined above without modification.

Reasons for the decision:

The Traffic Regulation Orders are necessary for the delivery of the Lansdowne Programme. A phased approach will allow the proposed Traffic Regulation Orders (which restrict or prohibit the use of the highway network) to be made/sealed as and when construction works for each phase of the project is completed and made available for use by the public. This phased approach will allow enforcement to take place and help to minimise any risk of challenge.
