Apologies and Substitutes

To receive any apologies for absence from Members and to report on any substitutes.

Declarations of Interests

Councillors are required to comply with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011 regarding disclosable pecuniary interests. Declarations received will be reported at the meeting.

Minutes

To confirm the minutes of the meetings held on 28 November 2018, circulated at 3.

 

10.

Public Issues

To receive any public questions or statements submitted in accordance with the Constitution.

 

The deadline for the submission of public questions is 10.00 am on 15 January 2019.

 

The deadline for the submission of a statement is 12.00 noon on 18 January 2019.

 

11.

Exclusion of the Press and Public

To consider the following resolution in order for the Senior Appointments Committee to consider the non-public item on the agenda.

 

“That under Section 100(A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1, 2 and 4 in Part 1 of Schedule 12 A of the Act and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs such interest in disclosing the information.”

Appointment of the Director of Children's Services

The Senior Appointments Committee, following the selection process, is asked to a make a recommendation to the Shadow Authority identifying a preferred candidate for the position of Director of Children’s Services in the new Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.

 

13.

Any other business - of which notice has been received before the meeting and by reason of special circumstances, which shall be specified in the minutes, the Chairman is of the opinion that the items should be considered as a matter of urgency.

Paragraph 1 – Information relating to any individual.

 

Paragraph 2 – Information which is likely to reveal the identity of an individual.

 

Paragraph 4 - Information relating to any consultations or negotiations, or contemplated consultations or negotiations, in connection with any labour relations matter arising between the authority or a Minister of the Crown and employees of, or office holders under, the authority.
