Tom Hollington of Set Square Studio Ltd has made an application on behalf of Grillix Ltd for a Premises Licence in respect of Grillix, a fast-food outlet located at 402-404 Ashley Road, Poole, BH14 0AA.

The application seeks authorisation for the provision of late-night refreshment from 23:00 hours until 04:00 hours, every day.

The application attracted one representation from a local Town Councillor on the grounds that granting the application would undermine the prevention of public nuisance licensing objective.

In relation to the items of business appearing below, the Committee is asked to consider the following resolution: -

‘That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 in Part I of Schedule 12A of the Act and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs such interest in disclosing the information.’

The individual holds a BCP Hackney Carriage Driver Licence, is the sole proprietor for three licensed vehicles and he also holds two Private Hire Operator Licences.

Information has come to light regarding non-compliance issues relating to all these licences. As a result, consideration is now required as to whether the individual remains a fit and proper person to continue to hold each of these licences.
