Tuckton Tea Gardens, 323 Belle Vue Road, Bournemouth, BH6 3BA pdf icon PDF 118 KB

Bournemouth Boating Services Limited has submitted an application for a premises licence at Tuckton Tea Gardens.

The application seeks authorisation for the provision of Live Music, indoors and outdoors from 11:00 to 22:30 Monday to Thursday, from 11:00 to 22:30 on Friday and Saturday and from 12:00 to 22:00 on Sundays, the provision of recorded music, indoors only, Sunday to Thursday from 09:00 to  22:00 and Friday and Saturday from 09:00 to 22:30 and for the sale of alcohol for consumption both on and off the premises between 12:00 and 22:00 Monday to Sunday, between 11:00 and 22:30 Friday and Saturday and between 11:00 and 22:00 on Sunday.

120 representations have been received from other persons, 94 in objection to the application and 26 in support.  The representations raise concerns that granting the application may undermine the licensing objectives of the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm.

Exclusion of Press and Public

In relation to the items of business appearing below, the Committee is asked to consider the following resolution: -

 

‘That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 2 in Part I of Schedule 12A of the Act and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs such interest in disclosing the information.’

Suitability of applicant to meet the fit and proper criteria to be a licensed driver pdf icon PDF 120 KB

The Licensing Team have received an application for a new driver licence, information contained within the application raises concerns on their suitability to become a licensed driver.
