Adult Social Care services locally and
nationally have faced significant challenges in recent years, and
as a result the Council is holding significant risk in relation to
the ability of the Council to deliver its statutory
responsibilities to adults that require support within the
available budget. The nature of these challenges means that long
term, sustainable change is needed to ensure that BCP Council Adult
Social Care services (ASCS) are modern, fit for the future and
affordable. This business case sets out a proposal for initial
investment in Adult Social Care transformation that will lead to
improved outcomes for adults that draw on support in BCP and
support the Council to deliver this within the available financial
envelope.
