The BCP Alcohol Public Spaces Protection Order
(PSPO) was implemented on the 01 July 2021 and expires on the 30
June 2024. There is a statutory requirement under the Anti-Social
Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, to review a PSPO within 3
years of its implementation. The purpose of the report is to to
determine if the order should be extended, varied or
discharged.

A public consultation ran from 12 January 2024
and closed at midnight on 12 February 2024. Statutory consultees
were also consulted.

It is a statutory requirement to consult the
Police and Crime Commissioner, Chief Constable and land owners. It
is also recommended to consult with other appropriate community
representatives: residents, councillors, Town and Parish councils,
businesses, community groups, partner agencies and support
